David Bozarth
District Commander - Navy

David served six years in the US Navy's Submarine Force and was assigned to the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) submarine USS Lewis & Clark SSBN644 as a member of both the Gold and Blue Crews. He received the SSBN Deterrent Patrol Insignia with three stars and earned his Submarine Warfare Insignia (Dolphins) in February 1981. He served with distinction as a Fire Control Technician - Ballistic Missiles (FTB) and rose to the rate of FTB1(SS), E-6.
 
After his discharge in 1984, David has worked in electronics, security systems, and Information Technology (IT). He has worked is all levels of IT management through the director level, and built and led strong teams by utilizing the lessons he learned in the Submarine Service.
 
David has been the District 7 Commander since June 2021. He is passionate about the VFW and our service to the veterans in the Southwest Missouri area. Also, he is an energetic leader. Under his leadership, the District received the All-American award in fiscal year 2021-2022. He is a capable spokesman for the VFW and veteran affairs and issues.
 
He resides in his hometown of El Dorado Springs, Missouri. He has three daughters, two sons-in-law, and six grandchildren, all who are the lights of his life.
